Mathews Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an organization made up of families, teachers, and members of the community that advocates for the education and well-being of every child. By joining Mathews PTA, a member automatically becomes a part of the largest child-advocacy organization in the country, with over 600,000 members across Texas and 5 million members nationally. The PTA at the local school level is linked to the state and national PTA, forming a nationwide network of members working on behalf of all children.
Last year, Mathews PTA was 184 members strong. This year our goal is to have 100% participation. We want Mathews PTA to be your voice, and we need your involvement and ideas to make that happen! Please join today.
Research shows that a child performs better in school when his or her parents are involved in the school. There are many ways to be involved, such as helping in your child’s classroom; volunteering during Octoberama, our biggest fundraiser; participating in school events; or taking on a leadership position. Please feel free to contact us and we will help you find a role that fits your schedule and interests! When you volunteer, you are helping to build a community that makes every child’s potential a reality.
We look forward to another great year at Mathews!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Breston and Tim Tierney,
